The Fresh Festival is an annual event that is organised in partnership with St Edmundsbury Council and GoMenta. Held during the late summer its role is to inspire a young generation of business entrepreneurs aged 13 to 30.
The Fresh Festival is a celebration of the imagination, diversity and creativity of young entrepreneurs in the Eastern Region. The event showcases the sheer depth and breadth of the alternative options to full time employment.
2012 was the first year for the Fresh Festival, over 400 young people attended the event; as well as artisans, creative media specialists, music entrepreneurs, fashion designers, food stalls, digital applications creators and live performers. Organisers said that it is a new and dynamic event that is definitely NOT ‘Business as Usual’. The event sets out to challenge the notion of 9 to 5, and showcases the very best of creative, quirky, unusual and mainstream businesses.
Following the success of the 2012 Fresh Festival, planning is already underway for 2013.
